About Gabriel Yafet

Gabriel Yafet is a Catholic sacred artist-composer, classical-crossover tenor, and storyteller whose work brings together faith, music, theater, and cinematic imagination. Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Gabriel began his professional singing career at age nine as a boy soprano with the Compañía de Ópera Metropolitana under Eric Steinman, where he performed in Gian Carlo Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors and Chip and His Dog.

His early career led him through opera stages, sacred spaces, civic ceremonies, televised programs, international festivals, and major venues including the Hollywood Bowl, Teatro de la Ciudad, and Arena Monterrey. A longtime interpreter of Mexico's National Anthem, Gabriel has performed it more than 200 times for sporting events, civic ceremonies, official engagements, and televised appearances, including performances for mayors, governors, and the President of Mexico.

His repertoire and artistic background span opera, zarzuela, sacred music, musical theater, Mexican and international repertoire, and classical crossover. Gabriel has performed works including Handel's Messiah, Ramírez's Misa Criolla, operatic recitals, sacred concerts, and musical theater productions. His artistic formation includes studies in music, voice, piano, composition, orchestration, communication, and global business, with training through UANL, ITESM, and UCLA-related coursework. His teachers have included Susan Young, Gilda Cruz Romo, Manuel Acosta, and others.

Now based in Texas, Gabriel creates sacred music, classical-crossover recordings, and theatrical works shaped by Catholic faith, beauty, and storytelling. His recent projects include Holy Mother: A Tribute to the Virgin Mary, Merry Melodies of Christmas: The Flame of Hope, and The Light Was Born, an original sacred Christmas musical for the Permian Basin. Through every performance and composition, Gabriel's mission is to inspire hope, awaken faith, and draw hearts toward God through beauty.
